Light emitting Diodes or LED's are basically just tiny light bulbs that fit easily into an electric circuit. however, they don't have a filament that will burn, and get hot while producing light.
A diode is an electrical component with two terminals which conduct electricity only in one direction. Connecting a diode, making them release photons, which conduct electricity only in one direction.connecting a diode, making them release photons, which we see as light.
In the search fao energy-efficient lighting LED's have proven to be LED's use atleast 75 percent less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs, and last 25 times longer. LED's don't require, or mit great amounts of heat.
